The 2009 Buick Lucerne is a four door sedan model that has the capacity to accommodate up to 6-passengers. The 2009 model shares some of the features from Cadillac DTS. Three trim levels are offered, base model CX, sports version super model and up-level CXL. The base model and the CXL are powered by a 3.9 liter V6 engine that produces power up to 227 hp, which replaces the previous 3.8 liter V6 version. The new V6 engine offered for the 2009 Buick Lucerne has the capability to run on ethanol blended E85 fuel.
The sports version of 2009 Buick Lucerne is powered by 4.6 liter V8 engine with magnetic ride control suspension and revised steering handle, which uses sensors to adjust the suspension automatically based on the road condition. All the engines are mated to a standard four-speed automatic transmission.
