Rapid Prototyping Boosts GM EPA Stats
General Motors are doing a lot of development in the field of design for its future vehicles of Buick, GMC and Chevrolet.
The vehicles are designed to new shapes and aerodynamics with many components added.
These designs are being developed by a 3dimensional Prototyping Equipment which redefines creativity and accuracy as well.
The prototype lab has basically two fabrication process namely the SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) and SLA (Stereo Lithography Apparatus), which help in converting the raw materials to the finished products.
Both the processes has been very useful in pre production and advanced technology like electric networked vehicles. This also helps to track the fuel efficiency during the prototype development.
